FAQs
A glass splashback, though stylish, has some drawbacks. It can show smudges, fingerprints, and watermarks easily. This means that it requires frequent cleaning to maintain its glossy look. Glass, especially if it’s not toughened, is prone to scratches, chips, or cracks over time, particularly in high use areas. Hence, we always push on toughened splashbacks.
Additionally, glass splashbacks can be costly compared to other materials, both in initial cost and installation, which often requires professional handling. Reflections and glare from glass can be distracting, and custom glass replacements for repairs or colour matching can be challenging.
Lastly, clear glass may show imperfections in the wall behind it if not carefully prepared. Therefore, it always best to get a coloured backing to have a flawless presentation.
As we do not fit splashbacks, we are unable to provide costing of installation. A kitchen fitter or bathroom installer should be able to provide an estimate.
The glass in splashbacks are toughened or tempered and are designed to handle high temperatures. Our tempered splashbacks are perfect for fitting behind a gas hob.
