Repairing Broken Panes

For cracked or shattered glass, replacing the pane is often the best solution. This involves removing the old glass and installing a new one. Hence, double glazed windows with broken seals or condensation buildup between panes may require replacing the entire window unit, as single pane replacements won’t restore their insulating properties.

Fixing Window Seals

Sealing from draughts around windows is a common problem. Universal rubber seals can be used to seal gaps around window frames. There are different types of seals available, including foam glazing tape, each suitable for different types of windows. However, rubber seals are sometimes in good condition. Which means that we would have to make adjustments to the hardware in the windows to minimise gaps. 

Mending Hardware Issues

Broken locks, latches, handles or window hinges can compromise window security and operation. Replacing or adjusting hardware parts is usually straightforward for our fitters. Conveniently, our vans stock a range of common hinges, locking mechanisms and window handles to ensure that repairs can be immediate where possible.
