In this hometown of Burnley Football Club, a failed double glazing unit is recognised by the cloudy or misty looking glass. This is the condensation building up in between the panes. In your Burnley property, attempting to wipe clean the area of the moisture will not clear as it is on the inside of the glass.
Failed seals for misty glass windows are usually referred to the sealant compound. A popular version is the hotmelt type. It bonds the glass around the edges of the double glazing to create a sealed airtight unit. Changing properties over a period of time due to the weather climate, can cause a gap in the glue type seal. This gap will become the passage for which moisture will seep through to gradually develop into condensation inside the glass.
