A failed double glazing unit is distinguished by the cloudy or misty looking glass. This is the condensation accumulating in between the panes. In your Earby property, when you attempt to wipe clean the area of the moisture it will not clear as it is on the inside of the glass.
Failed seals for misty glass is commonly said to refer to the sealant compound of a double glazed unit, also known as hotmelt. It bonds the glass around the edges of the double glazing to create an airtight unit. With constant weather changes, over time it can lead to a gap being created in the seal. This opening will become the entrance for which moisture will enter to gradually develop into condensation inside the glass.
